This course concerns the proper production and presentation of a Title Search or Abstract on Real Property in the State of New Jersey. It discusses the history, definitions and procedures required to complete a search of the requisite records needed to produce an accurate title commitment.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course the learner will
- be able to list the types of searches
- know the procedure which a title searcher in the State of New Jersey follows to produce a search.
- know where to look for liens and encumbrances
- know how to assemble a search
